“Best building in ZOO is invisible” – pregnant motto of architectural competition - reconstruction and extension of the existing mammals pavilion to new pavilion of Amazonia. Evoking a feeling of real Amazonia by using horizontal and vertical articulation of the visitor paths, roofs shaped as "craters" with the penetrating rays of light that gives the impression of a tree crowns. The existing structures are maintained as much as possible, new constructions are economical due to its shape, which is visually appealing from exterior and interior. Technologically, the pavilion is designed with regard to environmental friendly approach and low operating costs.
